Salient Tours
Our tours take place twice a day, am
and pm. The morning tour mainly covers the northern sector of
the surrounding Ypres battlefields, cemeteries and sites and
includes Essex Farm cemetery, the German cemetery at
Langemarck,
the Brooding Soldier,
Passchendaele,
Tyne Cot cemetery and the
famous trenches and museum at
Hill 62.
The pm tour covers the activities of the southern sector
following the famous battle of
Messines in June 1917, the
impressive
mine craters,
Hill 60, the
Irish Peace Park,
German
trenches, scene of the
Christmas Truce and the
Ploegsteert memorial.
Tyne Cot cemetery can also be included.
